Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer and a musician who works mostly in Tamil and Malayalam movies that are based on the Tamil language. Her acting debut came in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam in addition to her Malayalam d but with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is a lawyer in the Madras High Court. The younger sister of her is an Belgian research assistant that lives in Leuven. Jeremiah was born close to Chennai, went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began studying classical piano when she was eight. She was a massive fan of geeks and wanted to be a psychiatrist. She was part of The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars when she was 10. This group formed her singing and composition career. The actress was also a stage performer in the college she attended and appeared in several productions staged in collaboration with The Madras Players and EVAM. She also served as The Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. In 2006, she appeared in an advertisement from Leo alongside actor Shiva. She also acted in the serial that was broadcast on Podhigai channel. She has appeared in all parts of India. She played a brief role in the finale in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon wanted Andrea to perform the role of a leading character after she sang in Vettaiyaadu's Vettaiyaadu. The film features Andrea portraying Kalyani the wife of a homemaker who gets involved in an affair, which leads to her being targeted by a blackmailer.
