Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into the family of South London. Both her parents have both been English. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. At the age 14, she attended The Brit School. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in six episodes each in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She played Bambi on the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She was also in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on The drama The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before it was removed from The CW. In February 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After being a regular for the initial two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that Madekwe would depart the series following her appearance on the pilot episode in the season's third. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he played a part with her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents Roy and Patty, as well as her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because her brothers, who were all athletic, were hockey players, baseball players, as well as both during winter and summer. Ashley did not walk, but she did dance, so at age 2 1/2 years old she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley became a dancer from that moment. Ashley performed in competitive tap, jazz and ballet in the high divisions. She also won best soloist awards at all major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
